Jamilah is a Mother, a Veteran, a Sister, a Daughter, and a Friend to many.

She has a special passion to reach and influence young girls who, like herself at a young age, may be having trouble navigating all of the physical, emotional, and social issues of girlhood.

WORTHIT was created to be a place free of Judgement where young ladies can be accepted, informed, encouraged, loved, and given a safe space to grow as women, because they are...

Being WORTHIT means realizing that you are capable and worthy of every good thing that life has to offer. Even though we all make mistakes, it means being strong enough to not let your mistakes define you. It means being able to forgive and cherish yourself in spite of them, and to use them to help someone else. It also means having a positive attitude and outlook about your future, and a workable plan for becoming whatever you aspire to be. All of this and more is what makes you what we want every girl in the entire world to be... an IT Girl.

The "IT" represents the qualities and tools that we possess and share with each other when navigating the challenges of womanhood. Intuition & Tenacity, Integrity & Truth, Invested Time, Informed Teaching, & so much more.

WORTHIT operates primarily through a series of informative workshops with speakers and activities that cover important topics for girls as they transition to womanhood and consider their future life, education, and career choices. In addition, the organization remains involved in various outreach and community service efforts that are not exclusive to young women.
